What Does Sustainability Mean to Me at Illinois Wesleyan?

There are a wealth of opportunities to learn more about environmental issues and get involved in environmental activism on the 91ÁÔÆæ campus and in the Bloomington-Normal community. The 91ÁÔÆæ Environmental Studies Program frequently sponsors talks and hands on events on a variety of topics (see Events). Check out some of these additional links!

  • -  91ÁÔÆæ's highly active, completely student run "green group" focused on environmental advocacy.
  • - a student-led campus garden to help provide for the local community, teach principles of land stewardship, and engage students. 
  • GREENetwork - 91ÁÔÆæ's committee on sustainability, open to faculty, staff, administrators and students.
  • Community Action - information on environmental organizations in Central Illinois including volunteer and internship opportunities.
  • The Talloires Declaration - an action plan for incorporating sustainability into all aspects of the University (signed by 91ÁÔÆæ in 2007).
